Rob Schulz grew up in a small town in Central Texas, where values like hard work, personal responsibility, and service were part of everyday life. After graduating from the University of Texas with a degree in accounting, Rob was commissioned as a U.S. Navy Surface Warfare Officer—a role that shaped his leadership style and deepened his sense of duty. He proudly served aboard the USS John Rodgers, navigating both oceans and uncertainty with discipline and grit.
Rob’s path to wealth management was personal. The sudden loss of his father—an unprepared business owner—ignited his mission to ensure other families never face the same uncertainty. That experience has informed every client relationship he’s built over the past 25+ years.
After gaining industry experience and earning his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation, Rob founded Schulz Wealth in 2014. He now serves successful business owners, executives, and families, helping them navigate complex financial decisions with confidence and clarity. His firm’s proprietary Aegis Investment System is designed to safeguard legacies and guide clients through every stage of wealth.
Rob is the author of Thoughts on Things Financial: Your Guide to a Chaotic Money World, and has been named an Investopedia Top 100 Financial Advisor, Five Star Wealth Manager, and Best Financial Advisor in Arlington & Mansfield by Living Magazine. He has also taught retirement planning at Texas Christian University and UT Arlington.
Rob and his wife Shelly have lived in Mansfield, Texas since 1994, raising their four children and playing active roles in their community. Outside the office, Rob is an avid sportsman, golfer, traveler, and woodworker who finds joy in the outdoors and in time spent with family.
